Fernandes has been exceptional for the Red Devils this season as he continues to thrive under interim manager Michael Carrick on the hunt for Champions League football.
Now, the Portuguese star has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for March, equalling Cristiano Ronaldo's tally of six for United in what is an impressive achievement.
After a superb run of two goals and four assists in just four Premier League appearances, it is a well deserved award for the playmaker who is instrumental to the club’s climb up the table into 3rd.
The other contenders for the award included James Garner, Danny Welbeck, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Gordon, Alex Iwobi and David Raya but they were no match for Fernandes.
Fernandes still needs one more individual award to equal the all-time Premier League record jointly shared by Sergio Agüero, Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah.
However, with reports suggesting that he could depart this summer, he will only have a few months to claim another award before the season concludes.
With United purely focused on the league after being knocked out of every other competition, Fernandes will have plenty of rest to make sure he is at his best for the side heading into the final stretch of the season.
