The Dane was outstanding on Monday night as the Bees won 2-0.
Damsgaard later said, "It was very nice to get the three points. We want to get a little bit away from the relegation zone, so we knew it was a big game today and yeah, got the job done."
On if the scoreline could've been bigger, he continued: "It probably could've been. We missed a lot of chances. Also on set-pieces we had some good opportunities.
"I think we're finding a rhythm as a team. I think we're starting to connect a bit more and knowing each other as players. That's important and hopefully we can continue and keep going."
On goalscorer Igor Thiago, Damsgaard added: "Amazing job. I can't praise him enough for how hard he's worked over the pre-season. We see how hard he worked and he deserves all that's coming and all the goals, so hopefully it keeps coming."
