Brentford record-breaker Thiago: This is what God gave to me

Thiago, now on 21 goals for the season, became the first Brazilian to score 20 goals or more in the Premier League.

“When I came to Brentford, I wanted to try my best and to break records,” said the striker.

“This is what God gave to me. I just want to praise him for everything he has given to me. I am really happy and so excited for the rest of the season.”

On Everton’s late equaliser, Thiago added: “It hurts but we need to stick together. We are frustrated, yes. But this is not the finish. We need to fight and the fans need to stay with us. We can do something special.”
