Brentford captain Nathan Collins admitted some frustration after their defeat at home to Manchester City.

Erling Haaland struck the only goal of the game as City won 1-0 on Sunday.

“You never want to lose, especially at home as we want to make this place as tough as possible, so that’s really annoying,” said centre-back Collins.

“The first half was probably too passive, we let them have too much space and didn’t get in their face enough. The goal is annoying, I need to see it back but I thought we could have done better with that.

“In the second half, we tweaked a few things, pressed a bit higher and, overall, I thought we were better. We defended the box really well and made it hard for them, we created one or two chances, and probably wish we created a bit more."
