Andrews, who took the manager's job this summer after stepping up from being set-piece coach on predecessor Thomas Frank's staff, would prefer the striker stay.
However, Wissa now is set to move to Newcastle for around £25-30m.
Andrews joked with talkSPORT: "I have got a good relationship with Wiss.
"I worked really hard with him last year to try and find goals. Seven of his 19 goals last year came from set pieces.
"He owes me really, so he shouldn't be going anywhere, to be blunt!"
Mutual respect
Andrews went on: "It hasn't been ideal for him. But what I think underpins that is a mutual respect, that we understand the situation.
"Hopefully, from my point of view, he's still at the club. That hasn't changed in the last few days. Nothing is fresh, nothing is new.
"It's a scenario that isn't wanted from me, clearly. Why would anyone want to lose a striker that scored 19 Premier League goals?
"It is what it is, unfortunately. I'll keep communicating to Yoane as he is with me, and again, going back to that respectful relationship, that will certainly remain."
