Bournemouth step up talks for Lille defender Diakite

The Daily Mail says the Cherries have been following Diakite for the past two years.

The 24 year-old is also interesting Sunderland, though Bournemouth are now discussing terms with Lille.

Bournemouth see Diakite as a replacement for Dean Huijsen after his sale to Real Madrid.

Diakite's deal with LOSC is now inside it's final 12 months.
