Paulsen spent last term on loan at Auckland and now makes his way to Poland to join Gdansk who sit bottom of the league, having finished in 14th last term to avoid relegation by six points.
The 23-year-old New Zealand international joined the Cherries in the summer of 2024 and is yet to make a first team appearance for the side. Paulsen kept 14 clean sheets in 28 league appearances as Auckland claimed the Premier’s Plate, and was named Players’ Player of the Season and will certainly be a big help for a struggling Gdańsk side.
Meanwhile, the club also announced forward Daniel Adu-Adjei has completed a permanent move to Croatian champions, HNK Rijeka. had been involved in Andoni Iraola’s first team over pre-season, scoring once in the Premier League Summer Series against Everton but the 20 year old will now leave the club after four years.
Loan spells at Poole Town, Leyton Orient and Carlisle United saw him gain valuable first-team experience and minutes on the pitch. The youngster will now join Rijeka and posted a farewell message on social media, saying:
“After 4 amazing years (at AFC Bournemouth) it’s time for the next chapter.
“Forever grateful. Thank you to all my teammates, staff and fans for the support.”
