Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola insists he's delighted with Evanilson's form this season.

The Brazilian striker has only the one goal so far, but Iraola is urging him not to obsess on his scoring stats.

He told the Daily Echo: “For him, for sure he's disappointed because every number nine wants to score goals.

“But I read the situation like with Evanilson playing, starting as number nine, the team has been scoring goals and he's doing things to score goals.

“It's not his name that will appear there in the score sheet, but the team is having good offensive volume, it’s scoring goals and he's doing well.

“I don't want him to be obsessed with this.

“Otherwise when you start, not him, not Enes, not Junior Kroupi, because when you start to play for your stats, you help less the team and you become a worse player.

“So I don't want to focus too much in the numbers. Not with him, not with Antoine (Semenyo), not with anyone. Because I think it's bad for the team and it's bad for them, even individually.”
