Yves Bissouma has still not made an appearance for Tottenham this season after missing the UEFA Super Cup for disciplinary reasons. In the summer Tottenham tried to sell off Bissouma but failed and now as the January window beckons, the club are likely to try again.
As revealed on Friday afternoon, the defensive midfielder has deleted all associations with the club in what may be a push away from the club ahead of the winter window, where he likely seeks to depart.
The 29-year-old picked up another issue that forced him to be stretched off just minutes after his return to action for Mali while on international duty. Last month Bissouma posted a picture in the gym on his Instagram account, alongside a bicep emoji as he showed his hard work to try and return to the pitch.
Tottenham signed him for £25M in the summer of 2022 on a four-year deal, meaning his contract expires at the end of this season. The Sun reported that Bissouma has indicated that his priority is to regain fitness and play for Spurs again before deciding on his next move, which may come next month.
Bissouma will join Pape Sarr for the Africa Cup of Nations later this month if he is able to return to full fitness. The tournament may act as an advert for Bissouma who will be keen to show potential clubs that he can still perform at the highest level.
