Isak left Newcastle for Liverpool in a £125m move - and in a bitter split.

Former Toon manager Benitez told TNT Sport: "I'll tell you a secret. When I talk to people in Newcastle they say they miss him.

"He did so well, he adapted to the style of play and the matches. He is smart in his movements, can play centrally or on the wing. He runs deep and can dribble."

Benitez, also a former Liverpool manager, added: "I think this will be a fantastic signing for Liverpool and a great loss for Newcastle."
