According to The Athletic, Bayern have submitted a second bid for Luis Diaz, 28, after having the first one rejected by Liverpool.
Vincent Kompany’s side are desperate to add attacking firepower this summer having already missed out on Florian Wirtz, Nico Williams, and Jamie Gittens.
It’s understood that earlier this month the Premier League champions turned down an offer of £58.6 million for Diaz, who has 'made it clear he wants to leave'.
Circumstances have changed, however, and Bayern have been encouraged to make a second bid after Newcastle’s Alexander Isak handed in a transfer request.
Liverpool are said to be Isak’s preferred destination despite the fact they’ve already signed Hugo Ekiteke from Eintracht Frankfurt.
It’s likely that Liverpool would have to break the British transfer record for a second time this summer in order to pry Isak from Newcastle.
