And the former Fulham midfielder was left out of Bayern's squad for today's preseason friendly with Lyon.
The German giants confirmed on social media before kickoff: "João Palhinha is not in the squad today due to transfer negotiations."
Tottenham are expected to take Palhinha on a season-long loan with an option to buy for €30m.
