According to the BBC, Ten Hag is now looking to add Chelsea’s unwanted winger Sterling to his squad this summer.
The 30-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Enzo Maresca’s side having spent last season on loan with rivals Arsenal.
Sterling’s wages are said to be a sticking point for Leverkusen, who would be unable to pay the England international his current salary.
