The winger is on-loan to the end of the season from Manchester United. With his United deal inside it's final six months, it means ancho is available to sign permanently with Villa as a free transfer in June.
The Birmingham Mail says despite his inconsistent form, Villa management are keeping the door open to handing Sancho a long-term deal.
Villa chiefs are happy with the improvement they're seeing in Sancho's game since the turn of the year.
Villa boss Unai Emery recently said: "The first part of the season was not enough - he was working and trying, but not achieving the performance we needed.
"Now he is getting better. He is getting the challenge for him and us. I spoke with him a few times about the challenge we have with him and that he has with us."
