Aston Villa boss Emery eager to keep hold of Digne

The 32 year-old defender's current deal is now inside it's final 12 months.

The Daily Mail says Emery is eager to keep hold of Digne and has approved the tabling of new terms to the Frenchman.

Digne is competing with Ian Maatsen for the left-back spot at Villa, but remains a key part of Emery's plans.

The France international has been linked with Atletico Madrid this summer, though their need for a new fullback has cooled after signing Marc Pubill from Almeria this week.
