Arsenal signed Denmark midfielder Norgaard from Brentford in a £15m deal back in June in what was the club’s third signing of the summer after deals for Spaniards Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The midfielder is on a two-year contract with the option of a third year but, despite the potential of staying for multiple years, he is clear on where he will go once he leaves North London as he spoke to Danish outlet Bold.
“My contract is two years with an option for a further year. And I would be happy to stay at Arsenal for the extra year if things develop in that direction.
“If it turns out that it wasn't the right match, we'll go home to Denmark after two years.”
It has been seven years since Nørgaard left Brøndby and the Dane would be a welcome addition to the side who would be happy to bring in the playmaker who has vast experience in the Premier Leage and Champions League.
Norgaard helped Brentford win promotion from the Championship in 2021, before making 122 Premier League appearances. He is now a backup for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who snapped him up when Jorginho left this summer.
