The 28 year old had knee surgery on May 27th two days after Fulham’s Premier League finale and has since been limited to just hree substitute appearances in Fulham’s first seven league games this season under manager Marco Silva.
He has only played a combined 61 minutes of Premier League football this season and supporters are concerned as to when he will return to full fitness, now that the season is fully underway.
Now, US national team manager Mauricio Pochettino has given a worrying update on Robinson, suggesting that he will not be available for the clash against Arsenal this weekend.
“Antonee has a minor problem with his leg, a bit of pain.
“We’re managing it as best we can, but he still can’t participate in training. And he’s certainly out of the game. I hope it’s not serious and that he can return to his club to train and compete normally.”
His injury adds to what will be a rotated team for both sides as Arsenal deal with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Noni Madueke all sustaining significant setbacks.
Arsenal need a win to maintain their place at the top of the table, one point ahead of Liverpool. An injury to Robinson will boost their chances of collecting three points and charging on to the title which doesn’t seem impossible for Mikel Arteta’s side.
