Arsenal push ahead with plan to sign €100 million Newcastle midfielder

Reports had suggested that Arsenal made a late move to sign Tonali, 25, in January, but they were quickly rubbished by his agent, Beppe Riso.

The rumours persist, however, and Riso was spotted in the stands as Mikel Arteta’s side earned a narrow 1-0 win over Brighton.

According to Tuttosport, the Premier League leaders are moving forward with their plans to sign Tonali, who Newcastle value at €100 million (£87m).

Interest in Tonali is said to be high, with rivals Man United, Real Madrid, and Juventus also said to be keen.
