Dowman became the youngest player to score a Premier League goal as he helped Arsenal defeat Everton 2-0 at Emirates Stadium last weekend.
His mazy solo goal captured the attention of many as the 16-year-old made headlines with a finish that kept The Gunners at the top of the Premier League table.
As a result of this and his rise in the first team squad, Arsenal are reportedly struggling to keep with fans who are desperate to get their hands on a Dowman shirt.
“We’ve been blown away by the sudden demand for Max’s shirt, but it’s great to see so many fans wanting his name on their shirt,” a club source told The Sun.
As reported by The Sun, Dowman’s name is not listed as an option on the wall of player names inside Arsenal’s ‘Armoury’ store at the Emirates but will now be one of the most popular options after his fine form.
Could Dowman reach the England squad?
Dowman is being considered for a place in England’s World Cup 2026 squad but has been left out the side for their upcoming friendlies later this month.
Speaking on the teenager, England boss Thomas Tuchel has a lot of praise for the youngster.
“He put himself in the spotlight, amazing goal against Everton, crucial goal, he's competing, an outstanding talent for his age,
Everyone who tells me about Max praises him, but the reality is that he competes for minutes; he's not a starter. He's in the best environment possible. He learns from the very best in the best environment, where teamwork is the No 1 rule.
“We have the chance to call him up for the World Cup. We want to keep their excitement, their level of fearlessness. No need to call him up now and increase the noise that comes with it but we have a lot of options.”
