Amorim wants to speak with the likes of Eric Cantona and Andrew Cole about what can work in terms of bringing out the best in the players.
A source told The Sun: “Throughout his own career, Ruben always loved when former players and legends of the clubs he played for would interact with the team — sharing knowledge, stories, and advice about what it means to represent the club.
“Coming from Benfica, he understands what real pressure feels like and how to use it to grow — as a man, a player, and now as a leader.
“He believes these exchanges can help the players make the most of their time at United, both on and off the pitch.”
The United source added: “Ruben loves Cantona.
“He sees him as the embodiment of the spirit and aura of Manchester United.
“These are people who have United in their DNA, and Ruben wants that energy, that heritage, to be felt and lived by everyone in the squad.”
The news comes just days after Cantona slammed United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe for his management of the club and staff.
