Footage of the Arsenal squad training for the match against Bournemouth while listening to AI TikTok edits went viral online last week as fans ripped into the club’s strange methods.
The week before, Arteta’s side were seen balancing a ball between their heads and pens between their fingers ahead of the Champions League meeting with Sporting which again sparked a conversation between fans.
Now, speaking on the The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Allardyce has ripped into Arteta and his training antics which have not helped the club recently as they continue to drop points in the title race.
“I think he’s doing some strange things, sadly.
“Not that I’m adverse to a strange thing, because I’m the first to try it. But he is making it public, (like) with the pens. I’m not quite sure what it was.
“This time he’s got AI up, hasn’t he? While they’re training. And he’s let the press and the public see that.
“I like the innovation but I don’t like (it) publicly… just keep it to yourself.
“That can backfire on him. They could say, ‘you confused the players with all that stuff.'”
As Arsenal prepare to face Sporting again in midweek, title rivals Manchester City can reduce the gap on the league leaders to just three points with a game still in hand with a victory.
Arsenal’s latest session will be watched closely and if any strange tactics are used which don’t pay off, Arteta may find himself in more hot water.
