Both Rabiot and teammate Jonathan Rowe have been fined and transfer-listed after they came to blows after Friday night's defeat to Rennes.
Veronique Rabiot has since reacted, insisting her Adrien deserves a "second chance".
"When (Mason) Greenwood signed after beating his wife, (coach Roberto) De Zerbi said he could be given a second chance," Veronique told La Provence.
"I agree with giving people a second chance, but is my son the only one who doesn't get a second chance?"
Rabiot then disputed the term "unheard-of violence" used by president Pablo Longori , emphasising that there were no injuries from the incident.
"I want to ask them to show us the footage," the France international's mother concluded. "I still wonder how they can treat Adrien this way, when we know all the sacrifices he made to join OM. Mistreating him this way after everything he did last season is unbearable."
