According to RMC Sport, Marseille are not on the verge of naming former Rennes boss Beye, 48, as their new manager.
It’s understood that the former Senegal international held positive discussions with owner Frank McCourt and supporter representatives on Tuesday (February 17).
The move is now subject only to validation from the French football league’s legal commission to ensure he is formally released from his contract with Rennes.
