Marseille manager Roberto de Zerbi has opened the door to fixing things with midfielder Adrien Rabiot following the midfielder's explosive bust-up with teammate Jonathan Rowe.

Rabiot, 30, and Rowe, 22, had a violent altercation in the dressing room after Marseille’s 1-0 defeat to Rennes in their opening Ligue 1 game of the season on August 15th.

The club later released a statement saying the two players were consequently placed on the transfer list due to their “unacceptable behaviour.”

Rowe, who joined permanently earlier in the summer after Marseille triggered the obligation to buy in his loan deal from Norwich, now looks set to join Bologna.

Speaking to the press after their 5-2 win over newly promoted side Paris FC, De Zerbi appeared to be willing to fix things with Rabiot.

De Zerbi said: “Even if he made a mistake, I hope there is an opportunity to rebuild things. I hope that things can get better.”
