PSG whizkid Dro Fernandez was thrilled to score a first goal for the club since his controversial January arrival from Barcelona.

The teen struck in the 4-0 win against Nice on Sunday, which also marked PSG's 100th goal of the season.

Dro said afterwards: "Helping the team with my first goal makes me incredibly happy. I'm happy in Paris. It's not easy arriving from abroad at such a young age.

"Now it's time to keep growing, adapting, gaining rhythm, and helping the team in any way I can. I'll make the most of every minute I get. And if that means scoring goals, so be it.

“The coach has shown me his confidence. I knew that Luis Enrique was a great coach; all my teammates who had already played under him at Barcelona spoke incredibly highly of him, and when I came here, I had no doubts, to be honest.”

PSG coach Luis Enrique also said of the 18 year-old: "It doesn't surprise me. He's only 18, but his style of play perfectly suits what we're looking for.

"One of his main qualities is his ability to penetrate the opposition's penalty area. There are many players who don't play much, but they take advantage of their opportunities."

Further, teammate Warren Zaire-Emery chimed in: "He's a fantastic player, even younger than me, and the truth is, what he's doing is magnificent for his age.

"He should keep going like this, maintain his confidence, and we'll be there to support him and give him the best possible conditions.  He has to keep it up."
