According to Fabrizio Romano, Villa are now close to making their first major addition of the summer, coming in the form of Guessand, 24.
It’s understood the fee will be in the region of €35 million with negotiations between the two clubs and the player’s camp nearing their climax.
Guessand, who was previously linked with a move to Wolves, bagged 13 goals and provided nine assists in his 42 games for Nice last season.
