Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps has called up the veteran for first time since November 2024.

Kante, 34, is in the squad after injuries suffered by Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni, who were originally selected by Deschamps.
The coach explained, "I am in contact with N'Golo Kanté.
"He has shown his best performance in the games I have seen him play. He plays every three to four days, as he is playing in the Asian Champions League with his club."
