Edwin van der Sar, former goalkeeper for the Netherlands and Manchester United, was one of the distinguished guests at the Legends Charity Game in Portugal. The Dutchman spoke about Manchester United's current situation and praised Ruben Amorim.

Legends Charity Game: "It's a fantastic stadium, Lisbon is truly a football city. I've had bittersweet results here (Alvalade) with the Netherlands and Ajax, but it's great to meet players I've played with again, like Nani, but the Portuguese team looks very strong. I'm looking forward to it, I don't know how it's going to be on the pitch, but before and after it's fantastic. I hope the fans see good goals and good saves."

Manchester United: "It's always difficult to go to City, they have great players, they're a great team. They've also got a new goalkeeper (Donnarumma), like United. It was a tough defeat, I hope they turn things around, it's time they won more, they can't be in this position."

Ruben Amorim: "I was here four years ago with Ajax and we watched the Youth League game, Amorim was Sporting's new coach and I had a good chat with him about football. He has the knowledge, the players are there, the tactics too and I hope the support is there for him to succeed."
