He said on Romario's YouTube channel: "There's Pedri, there's Vitinha, there's Mac Allister…
"There are three or four players who, for me, are among the best because they understand team football. They understand that when they pass the ball, they're already thinking about the next play, even the double pass.
"They don't just pass for the sake of passing: they understand the game. Pedri, for example, has that.
"So does Frenkie de Jong, who I think is very underrated. I think he's a player similar to what I used to be."
