While the controversy around Vinicius Junior and Gianluca Prestianni dominated the aftermath of Real Madrid's 1-0 Champions League win at Benfica on Tuesday night, there was a also a wonderful story involving the Brazilian's young teammate Thiago Pitarch.

On 94 minutes, Real coach Alvaro Arbeloa threw on the 18 year-old midfielder for his senior debut.

There was still almost 10 minutes to play in an atmosphere of maximum intensity and tension (play went until the 103rd minute), but Arbeloa didn't hesitate to send on the young midfielder.

All this with players like Franco Mastantuono, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy and Fran García on the bench. A bold move that earned the player's own praise.

"Thanks to Arbeloa for his boldness and confidence in me," the young Castilla midfielder posted on his social media. 

Real Madrid's media team also posted a clip of Pitarch celebrating the debut with his family in the stands after the 1-0 win:
