With a €45m buyout clause, Gueye is widely considered a likely candidate to be the next from Villarreal to move to England.
He told So Foot: “For now, I’m very happy at Villarreal; I’ve had a good season. There were some offers this winter, but we’ll see what happens after the World Cup."
Gueye admits he feels prepared to succeed in England.
He also stated: “I see the midfielders’ play, their impact on the game, the intensity… And when I see them, I tell myself that I am more than enough to play in the Premier League."
