However, Cadena SER says Sevilla directors made it clear to Bordalas' representatives that they weren't interested.
Cadena SER journalist Santi Ortega declared: “Bordalás, through an intermediary, wanted to know if Sevilla was willing to sign him for this year's project.
"He was open to coaching Sevilla during that period when the club was looking for a manager.
“Their assessment was that he was a difficult coach. The president and vice-president felt he didn't fit in, that he didn't do what they wanted. They didn't even consider negotiating.”
