While he's been linked with a move away, transfer expert Matteo Moretto is reporting that Real management are open to securing Rudiger to a new deal.
He revealed on La Pizzara that one of the factors influencing the renewal is the player's physical condition.
"The Rüdiger issue isn't over; the parties are still talking," Moretto stated.
"There are doubts about his knee and his fitness. Real Madrid is in discussions with his representatives. Right now, I'd say he's going to stay."
