The younger brother of Roony Bardghji admits Barcelona also wanted to sign him this summer.

Rayan Bardghji, like brother Roony, left FC Copenhagen this summer and had an offer to follow his older sibling to Spain.

However, Rayan chose to join Danish rivals FC Nordsjälland.

"That's right. We were very, very close," Rayan told Expressen.

"The day before I sat down with my agent and my family and talked about what's best for me. Finally, we came to the conclusion that Nordsjälland was a little better for me now. It is a club that is known for giving young players a chance in the A team and they have a very good plan for me."

Rayan Bardghji is playing for FCN's U19 team, but is already training with the seniors.

"I think my time will come soon. My dream is to debut in the Super League when I am 16 years old, just like my brother. So the goal is to play in the A team as soon as possible. And Nordsjalland believes in me, that's why I came here.

"I enjoy myself very, very well. I've been doing that since day one. Everyone received me very well and it immediately felt like I knew everyone. The future is very bright here and as I said, they have a good plan for me. They help me in the best way."
