The 28-year-old was a member of United’s infamous ‘bomb squad’ in the summer before securing a season long loan move to Barcelona.
It’s understood that Hansi Flick’s side have a £30 million option to buy Rashford at the end of 2025-26, but that has been thrown into doubt.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, the sacking on Ruben Amorim means it is now ‘highly likely’ that Rashford is brought back into the fold at United.
Rashford has a major falling out with Amorim midway through 2024-25 and was shipped out on loan to Aston Villa for the second half of the season.
The report states that whoever comes in to replace the Portuguese manager will likely want to give Rashford a second chance.
