After a superb loan during the second-half of last season at Betis, Antony is keen to return. However, the LaLiga club are struggling to meet the demands of United over a permanent transfer. Instead, they would prefer another loan arrangement.
Al Final de la Palmera says Antony has since been told by United he will face sitting out the first-half of the season unless he accepts one of the permanent transfer offers tabled from elsewhere.
Among clubs keen are Bayer Leverkusen, where Antony's former Ajax and United manager Erik ten Hag is now in charge.
