Mbappe is now honing his craft in La Liga with Real Madrid as he chases down his first league title with the Spanish side. However, before he left his mother admits that he had major issues and struggled with fame in Paris.
She spoke to Demain le Sport about her son and how their family are dealing with his rapid rise to stardom.
“Kylian in Paris was like a magnifying glass on his flaws; he was no longer human. I had some very low moments,” she revealed. “He can't even walk down the street anymore. It makes me sad.”
“We are not prepared to become public figures.”
