Simeone has transformed the club, winning two La Liga titles and two Europa Leagues among several other trophies.
Speaking to reporters after their tight 1-0 La Liga win over Girona on Sunday (May 17), Simeone confirmed his decision to stay.
“If I’m being honest, I’m thinking about next season. I’m thinking about myself. I will continue, but I’m thinking about how to approach a new season,” he said.
