Germany chief Voller warns Ter Stegen: This is your chance - but you need to play

Now fully fit after early season back surgery, Ter Stegen is strictly third-choice at Barca behind Joan Garcia and Wojciech Szczesny.

Barca management have encouraged Ter Stegen to find himself a new club in January.

And Voller told Kicker: "It doesn't matter if he stays in Barcelona or somewhere else. In the end, he has to play.

"And then we will all rejoice on his behalf if he – after many years as a world-class target man in the shadow of Manuel Neuer – gets the opportunity to stand on target at a World Cup."
