Flick's current deal is inside it's final 18 months and talks over a new contract won't commence until after the end of this season.
The German will mark 100 games in charge on Saturday when Barca meet Villarreal and he said today: “I’m taking it one step at a time, one game at a time.
"We want to win titles, but also build for the future. I’m grateful to be working with (sportiing director) Deco, to be working with my team. It helps me a lot to have confidence too, because for me, confidence is essential.”
Flick also said, "For me, it's like a family, a real family. From the first day, they made me feel at home, with the president, the board, Deco, Bojan... I first met Deco and Bojan (Krkic, director) and I had a very good feeling about them.
"And then when I arrived, everything was incredible. Everything is a little different in Germany."
