After leaving Deportivo La Coruna last year, Perez signed with PSV Eindhoven before departing at the end of the season.

The veteran remains a free agent, though has been tabled a contract offer by Segunda Division Castellon.
However, Perez has rejected the proposal made by Castellon president Bob Voulgaris, explaining: "My agent hasn't told me anything because we're not considering the Segunda División.
"I have the credentials for the Primera."
