The midfielder has moved to Ajax on a contract to 2028.
Eloi, considered one of the purest talents in the Blaugrana youth system, arrived at the age of eight and has always stood out for his vision and technique. It was his footballing intelligence that won over the Amsterdam club.
"Eloi is the classic playmaker that Ajax likes," said Marijn Beuker, the club's technical director. "He loves to start plays, takes the initiative with the ball at his feet, and has a great ability to play with one or two touches."
For the young Catalan, the move to the Netherlands was a natural one.
"The fact that Ajax plays with the same style as Barça was decisive in my choice," he explained. "I take a lot of inspiration from Frenkie de Jong and Rodri of Manchester City."
