Courtois' current deal expires in June, 2026. The new arrangement doesn't include any 12-month option.

At 33, Courtois has accepted to commit to Real's policy of a rolling 12-month deal for players over 30 years of age.

Meanwhile, Real's No2 keeper Andriy Lunin is happy to remain and act Courtois' understudy. The Ukraine international is a target for Villarreal, but is happy to stay where he is.
