Chelsea make loan approach for Real Madrid wonderkid Franco Mastantuono

It’s understood that Chelsea were one of several clubs interested in signing Mastantuono before he ultimately decided to head to the Spanish capital.

The 18-year-old has struggled for minutes since making the move from River Plate last summer, starting just seven La Liga games.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chelsea are back in for the winger and have approached Real Madrid over a loan deal for the rest of the season.

TeamTalk claim that it’s unlikely the La Liga side will sanction a deal, however, as they still believe he has a role to play.
