The Celta coach has extended his deal to 2027.
The main change is the tougher penalty if either party unilaterally activates the release clause at the end of this season.
This is 38 year-old Giraldez's third renewal since jumping from B team coach last year.
“Since May, I've spoken with the president and the sporting director with the intention of renewing my contract with the club. We have a contract until June 2026, which is what we have right now . So, I can extend it and be able to stay here longer,” the coach stated in early September.
In that same appearance, coinciding with reports that were linking him with Bayer Leverkusen, Giraldez asserted that his only thought was to stay in Vigo.
“I'm where I want to be,” he said. And that will remain the case beyond this season.
