The coach has extended his Celta deal to 2028.
Giraldez was keen to sign a new contract, knowing there had been speculation around his future with Celta.
The LaLiga club announced on Wednesday: “The commitment to the Galician coach has resulted in an impeccable track record since he took over the reins in March 2024.
"During this time, the first team has grown to establish itself in prominent positions in LaLiga, with a return to European competitions, where it has once again competed with character, reaching the Europa League quarterfinals so far.”
The statement added: “This evolution has gone hand in hand with a clear identity and a firm commitment to A Madroa, with a prominent role for players trained in the youth academy, in a club model shared also from the bench, with a coaching staff from the house, whose members are also renewed in their entirety."
