The plan is to secure the former Real Madrid coach to a new deal to 2030 before next summer's World Cup.

The CBF want Ancelotti to lead the nation into the 2030 tournament, along with next year's World Cup. Between then, there will also be a Copa America to compete for.

Ancelotti has led Brazil in five matches. He has overseen three victories, a defeat and a draw.

The country's next match is October 14, where they meet Japan in Tokyo for a friendly match.
