Raphinha has been ruled out for five weeks after tearing his hamstring in friendly action against France.
Reacting to the news, Laporta told Mon Esport: "Having one of your best players injured in a friendly between France and Brazil in the United States is infuriating.
"You can't shift the responsibility for not playing onto the player, because he's a professional who gives his all for his country, and that's normal, but FIFA should create an international calendar that takes into account the competitions that the most important clubs have."
Meanwhile, Laporta also commented on plans to renew coach Hansi Flick's contract.
He said, "At the end of the season, we'll talk calmly. He doesn't feel the need to. He's a very honest man with himself and very professional.
"He likes to have... I think he's earned the renewal, but he prefers to analyze the situation at the end of the season and decide what we should do. If we do another year, he already has that. If we should extend it... but he likes having a grace period. I think he feels that if he had a long contract, someone might think he's getting complacent.
"And he doesn't want that to happen under any circumstances, because he's a very honest man with himself, very professional. He likes to be satisfied with what he does and, needless to say, to be recognized for it."
