Gavi is now combining group and individual training as he continues his recovery from the knee injury he suffered in August, which required surgery in September.
His recovery is progressing well, and Barça is already working on a possible return date.
Since Friday, February 20, Gavi has been participating in some group training sessions. He only takes part in a few exercises and therefore still alternates between group sessions and individual rehabilitation, following a detailed and personalized program both in the gym and on the pitch.
The 21-year-old Andalusian underwent arthroscopic surgery at the end of September for a tear in his medial meniscus. At the time, it was estimated that he would be out for four to five months. That period has now passed.
Barca management are working with a plan, which isn't exact because his progress is reviewed daily. The intention is for him to join the team and the squad within a maximum of two weeks. He would therefore be available for a few minutes before the international break.
Sources have clarified that the date is neither fixed nor strict, as it depends on his progress and Gavi's level of motivation, but it's the timeframe they are currently working with.
