According to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona made a cash plus player swap deal that would see Marc Casado or Ferran Torres head in the opposite direction.
Atletico Madrid turned the offer down outright, however, and are holding out for a fee of €100 million with several Premier League clubs interested.
